INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit our Website, we may collect two types of information: Personally Identifiable Information and Aggregate Information, depending on how you engage with the Site.
Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. When you engage in certain activities on this Site, such as registering an account, submitting content through online forms and the like and/or sending us feedback, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself and/or your residence to better serve you. Examples of PII may include your first and last name, email address, home and/or mailing address (including zip code), telephone numbers, photographs and descriptions relating to your residence and other potentially identifying information.
Aggregate Information: This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. Similar to other commercial Websites, our Website utilizes Web server logs to collect information about how our Site is used. This information, which is collected in a variety of different ways, is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include the Website’s Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) that points to the site you just came from, which URL you go to after visiting our Site, what browser you are using, your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, the date and time of visits, the pages viewed and time spent at our Website.
HOW WE COLLECT AND USE INFORMATION
We do not collect any PII about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain PII to us when you elect to engage with certain pages available on the Site by way of filling out a form or entering information on our Site. We may also collect certain Aggregate Information. For example, we may use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers, software, to administer our Site and to gather demographic information.
We will primarily use your PII to provide personalized product or service offerings to you and exchange information with you. We may also use certain forms of PII and Aggregate Information to enhance the operation of our Site, improve our internal marketing and promotional efforts, improve our product and service offerings, and customize our Site’s content, layout, and services.
Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some aspects of the Site may not function properly if you elect to disable cookies.
RELEASE OF INFORMATION
We will not sell, trade, or rent your PII to others. We do, however, utilize third-party service providers that we have contracted with (“Service Partners”) to provide online services and/or platforms to aid in the effective communication between ourselves and our clients (e.g. BuilderTrend). We and our Service Partners may need to use some PII in order to perform tasks between our respective sites, or to deliver products or services to you.
Finally, it is possible that we may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide PII to the appropriate governmental authorities. In such cases, we will disclose PII only on advice of counsel, upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation.
USER CHOICES ON USE OF INFORMATION
We may, from time to time, send you emails regarding events, news about our business or other information that we feel may interest you. If you do not want to receive these communications from us, you can “opt-out” at any time by contacting us.
You must be at least 18 years old to have our permission to use this Site. Our policy is that we do not knowingly collect, use or disclose PII about minor visitors.
